YOU Make Your Future!

Sallie Mae, Greenspan, Wall Street, deficits, consumer confidence, recession, “Dems at fault – no GOP at fault,” credit freezes, downsizing, unemployment rates, credit scores, bad loans, stimulus packages …

Man, enough is enough. What ever happened to good old fashion personal responsibility? With the overwhelming amount of gloom and doom, it is no wonder we all aren’t bunkered down in our homes fearful to even venture out. Fear is feeding this monster. It is easy to cling on to the bad reports and justify why we may be having a tough time personally.

Snap out of it people. This is still the best country in the world. It is still filled with the most opportunity that the world has ever seen. Yes, we can sit back and blame everyone else and hope for handouts or we can make of it what WE want. It is up to each and every one of us personally to determine what we make of things. We can’t sit back and let others tell us how it is going to be or even how it should be.

Don’t let others determine your direction and the level of your success. The bottom line is, let YOU determine where you are going and no one else. I’ll leave you with one of my favorite sayings (and it isn’t exact, but you’ll get the idea…)

“Take a minute and look at your goals. Now take a step back and look at your performance. Does your behavior match your goals?”

In other words, are you doing what it takes to fulfill your goals or are you just dreaming about them and hoping someone else gets you there?
