Collection Agency Has A Great Day of Service

As many know, Earth Day was last week. We saw many people and organizations taking part in this annual tradition of raising awareness about our environment. This collection agency was no different. We took part for the second year in a row in Planet Day of Service which falls on Earth Day. PLANET or the Professional Landcare Network has endorsed American Profit Recovery.  Every year they put on this event and rally their members to go out and do something that will help “green up” a public place.

American Profit Recovery has sponsored this initiative for two years now and has undertaken our own projects locally. The two projects we took on were Employment Options, a nonprofit organization that helps individuals recover from mental illness, and in Michigan, the APR team worked with Kensington MetroPark’s staff to help combat three invasive plant species in the park as well as tending to the gardens around the Nature Center.

Plan for Tough Times

It is good to have a plan in life and in business; a ‘Plan A’ for when things are going your way and a ‘Plan B’ for when things are a bit more challenging. Planning for tough times can help ease a difficult situation and get you back on your feet quicker. Whether you’re an entrepreneur starting a business, a current business looking to expand your business or if you are looking to take on running the family business, it is in your best interest to research information that will assist you in making sound fiscal decisions, especially during difficult times like we are currently experiencing.

Plan for difficult financial times: Your business plan is your compass and should be formulated with your goals and company mission in mind. It should be reviewed often to keep you on track and kept current to reflect changing times. When you are looking to cut expenses, be cautious about drastically trimming down your advertising and development budgets – it is important for people to know who you are and how to find you in order to generate business. Last-minute Tax Preparation Tips

Have you looked at the calendar? April 15 is right around the corner. Even when you are receiving a refund, preparing and filing taxes is typically not something individuals or business owners look forward to enduring. It is a tedious process that can require a good deal of time, effort and organization. Every year we vow to be more prepared for the next tax season but it seems as though April 15th sneaks up on us before we can blink. Regardless of the tasks you take on in life, it always pays to be prepared. Waiting until tax day to manage and prepare your forms can mean you miss opportunities to reduce your tax bill or increase your refund. It pays to do a little homework and research the tax laws that apply to you as well as ways you can take advantage of year-round tax-planning opportunities. Since tax laws are constantly changing, be certain to keep abreast of current information every year to find laws and information that may apply to your particular situation. A little preparation can save you time, money and headache. Below are a two easy ways for individuals and business owners to manage their taxes and utilize the rules of the game for their 2009 return.

Collection Agency Ready for Service

We just took a tour of one of our PLANET Day of Service projects that we’ll be taking on. As a proud partner of the Professional Landcare Network and a collection agency that helps many in the lawncare and landscaping business improve cash flow, we have a natural tie to this day and proudly support it and sponsor it. Last year we partnered with a landscaping company and spruced up a town common on the north shore of Massachusetts. We thought that was a big job. Until today…

We found an organization that is based in Marlborough Massachusetts where one of our offices is. The organization is called Employment Options and they help individuals, who are recovering from mental illness gain valuable employment, train them for new job skills, and help them with a number of other crucial services to get them back on their feet and out in the community. A great organization with an important mission. They deserve to have beautiful place to call home. Continue reading »

More Reasons to Work With a Flat-fee Collection Agency

I recently had a chance to speak with our own Matt Moskowitz about our very popular Flat-fee collection solution. As you may know, a traditional collection agency would work your accounts in only one way, a contingency fee which in some cases can add up to 50 percent of the total money owned to you. Sometimes that’s just not an option for a small business.

Matt is out and about every day speaking with clients and others about what this collection agency can do for their business and how we can save them staff time, resources allocated to collections and preserve their relationships with their clients. Our flat fee approach does just that and more.  Read more to see the video blog. Continue reading »
